La caratteristica principale della colonna sonora di "Lilo e Stitch" è la presenza di cinque canzoni del "Re del Rock" Elvis Presley: "Stuck on You" (del 1960), "Suspicious Minds" (1968), "Hound Dog" (1956), "Heartbreak Hotel" (1956) e "Devil in Disquise (1963). Lilo è una sua grande fan e la voce di "The King" fa spesso da sottofondo alle sue giornate, da quando si chiude in casa dopo una giornata pesante a scuola di hula ed ascolta "Heartbreak Hotel", a quando sveglia Nani per farle sentire "Suspicious Minds" che, invece di uscire dal giradischi, proviene dalla bocca di Stitch (un vero colpo di genio!! ); da "Devil in disguise" che accompagna i buffi ed esilaranti tentativi di Lilo di fare di Stitch un "cittadino modello" seguendo l'esempio del grande Elvis, a "Stuck on You", quando Lilo cerca di entrare in sintonia con il suo nuovo "cucciolo", scoprendo quanto è diverso dagli altri cani, a "Hound Dog" , che suona dal giradischi durante la battaglia tra Jumba e Stitch in casa di Lilo ( "Oh, adoro questa canzone!!" ). La colonna sonora contiene altre due canzoni di Elvis, "Burning Love" e "Can't Help Falling in Love", reinterpretate da Winonna e A*teens Ma a questa splendida carrellata delle grandi ed indimenticabili hits di "The King", si affiancano anche due canzoni dal sapore etnico, che ci immergono nell'atmosfera hawaiana grazie alla presenza dei bonghi e alla voce di Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu* e il suo Kamehameha Schools Children's Chorus. "He Mele No Lilo", in lingua originale, che accompagna i titoli di testa, ci introduce la vicenda presentandoci Lilo e il suo coloratissimo mondo e mostrandoci una delle sequenza più suggestive del film: l' hula*, la tipica danza hawaiana, riprodotta fedelmente e con dovizia di particolari dagli animatori Disney Poi c'è "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride", che ci porta a fare surf*((in hawaiiano he'e nalu, "scivolare sulle onde") tra le cristalline acque dell'oceano Una nota particolare poi va alla dolcissima "Aloha Oe", cantata da Nani sull'amaca prima della separazione da Lilo. Io mi commuovo ogni volta che la sento I testi delle canzoni sono stati composti dal celebre compositore statunitense Alan Silvestri* , autore di numerose colonne sonore di successo ("Ritorno al futuro", "Forrest Gump", e "Chi ha incastrato Roger Rabbit", solo per fare qualche nome ).

E' forse la più bella scheda che tu abbia realizzato finora (e sì che ne hai realizzate tante e tutte stupende!). Merito anche della magnificenza del film, sicuramente ma la mano di Simi è sempre prodigiosa! Un unico appunto che ho da farti riguarda Aloha Oe per la quale io avrei inserito anche la versione italiana (che penso appartenga a Carla Evangelista):

E' forse la più bella scheda che tu abbia realizzato finora (e sì che ne hai realizzate tante e tutte stupende!). Merito anche della magnificenza del film, sicuramente ma la mano di Simi è sempre prodigiosa!
