Tanto tempo fa, in un paese lontano lontano, un giovane principe viveva in un castello splendente. Benchè avesse tutto quello che poteva desiderare, il principe era viziato, egoista e cattivo. Accadde però, che una notte d'inverno, una vecchia mendicante arrivò al castello e offrì al principe una rosa in cambio del riparo dal freddo pungente. Lui, che provava repulsione per quella vecchia dal misero aspetto, rise del dono e la cacciò. Ma lei lo avvertì di non lasciarsi ingannare dalle apparenze perchè la vera bellezza si trova nel cuore. Il principe la respinse di nuovo e, in quel momento, la bruttezza della mendicante si dissolse e apparve una bellissima fata. Il principe si scusò, ma era troppo tardi perchè lei ormai aveva visto che non c'era amore nel suo cuore e, per punirlo, lo tramutò in una orrenda bestia e gettò un incantesimo sul castello e su tutti i suoi abitanti. Vergognandosi del suo aspetto mostruoso, la Bestia si nascose nel castello con uno specchio magico come unica finestra sul mondo esterno. La rosa che gli aveva offerto la fata era davvero una rosa incantata e sarebbe rimasta fiorita fino a che il principe avesse compiuto ventun'anni. Se avesse imparato ad amare e fosse riuscito a farsi amare a sua volta prima che fosse caduto l'ultimo petalo, l'incantesimo si sarebbe spezzato. In caso contrario, sarebbe rimasto una bestia per sempre. Con il passare degli anni il principe cadde in preda allo sconforto e perse ogni speranza. Chi avrebbe mai potuto amare UNA BESTIA?

Prologue (Video) Once upon a time in a faraway land, a young Prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind. But then, one winter's night, an old beggar-woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince sneered at the gift, and turned the old woman away... but she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old women's ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince tried to apologize, but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart, and as punishment she transformed him into a hideous beast and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there. Ashamed of his monstrous form, the beast concealed himself inside his castle with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world. The rose she had offered, was truely an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his twenty-first year. If he could learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal fell, then, the spell would be broken! If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time! As the years passed, he fell into despair, and lost all hope, for who could ever learn to love A BEAST ?

Simi,innanzitutto complimenti,sempre bellissime le schede. Poi vorrei esprimere una mia opinione anche se forse non è questo il luogo adatto. Io adoro questo film ed ho scoperto leggendo la tua scheda dell'esistenza di questa scena inedita. Non mi piace affatto! A parte i disegni visibilmente di inferiore qualità, nell'originale Tockins non si sarebbe permesso di trattare così la rosa. Per non parlare del muggito di sottofondo quando tutti scappano dalle sue disposizioni. Penso che tutta la maestà e solennità che trovo nel film in quella scena venga persa. E la Bestia non sa leggere! Ma andiamo,è un principe! scusa per il piccolo sfogo..

Neanche a me fa impazzire l'animazione di questa scena, senza contare che le voci sono talmente diverse dall'originale che mi risultano molto fastidiose (soprattutto quella di Lumière, senza la sua affascinante cadenza francese ). Ma la canzone, a mio avviso, non è brutta. E' allegra, orecchiabile e la parte corale è davvero ben fatta
Beh,allora forse è solo il fatto di come è stata contestualizzata e collegata al film. L'ascolterò meglio e cercherò di essere più oggettiva Per il resto sono pienamente d'accordo con te: scena incantevole,che hai fatto benissimo ad inserire. Amo questo film!
L'ennesima scheda meravigliosa! Un film incantevole, un incanto di film. Una colonna sonora incredibile, vette altissime, un impegno clamoroso e un risulato che proviene direttamente dal grande firmamento disneyano. Con una delle canzoni più belle mai scritte, celeste, divina... Mi sciolgo...
Mi aggiungo anch'io al coro dei complimenti, perché questa scheda è davvero splendida! Ora poi che ho finalmente postato la scheda del film, spero si possa considerare completata anche dalla mia scheda.

Credo che, lavorando insieme, anche se su due aspetti diversi, abbiamo reso un ottimo omaggio ad uno dei film più belli, romantici e coinvolgenti degli ultimi anni.
E' questa la cosa che mi piace di più nel fare e leggere queste schede. Riusciamo a far emergere la nostra grande passione per la Disney, la cura dei particolari, le emozioni che ci trasmettono le immagini, le canzoni, i personaggi indimenticabili.... Ognuno ha il suo film preferito, o la sua canzone del cuore, e può comunicarlo agli altri nel modo che gli è più congeniale. Il risultato è come un bouquet di fiori. Diversi nelle forme, nei colori e nei profumi, ma tutti che contribuiscono all'armonia dell'insieme con la loro bellezza...
Bellissima Scheda.... nemmeno a me piace la scena inedita! L'immagine con il bacio è davvero molto bella e penso di crerne qualcosa di grafico! Sapevate che è stato inserito nella lista di uno dei film più romantci di sempre??? Mi sembra tra le prime 40 posizioni... davanti anche a Titanic se ritrovo quella lista ve la posto Ok???
