La colonna sonora è stata scritta da James Newton Howard, già collaboratore della Disney per "Dinosauri" e "Atlantis". Nel lungometraggio compaiono solo due canzoni, scritte da John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), di cui la prima "I'm still here" sottolinea il momento in cui nasce l'amicizia fra Jim e John Silver. La seconda, Always Know Where You Are, accompagna i titoli di coda.
Nell'edizione italiana, il primo brano è interpretato da Max Pezzali

Ricchissimo di canzoni, questo film Ma non posso che farti ancora grandi apprezzamenti, la scheda è comunque ordinatissima e molto piacevole da scorrere
E poi.. L'unica canzone tradotta, mi pare che valga da sola tutto il film
In effetti ho faticato molto per fare questa scheda
Ma ultimamente questa è una delle canzoni che ascolto più di frequente (anche in macchina ) e credo di amare il film sempre di più ad ogni visione Da questo alla scheda audio, il passo è breve
