•Durante il film Tiana dice a Ray che Evangeline non è una lucciola ma una stella, "una palla di aria calda a milioni di chilometri da qui"; Pumbaa nel film Il Re Leone afferma lo stesso contesto: "io pensavo fossero (le stelle) masse gassose che bruciavano a miliardi di chilometri di distanza".
•Quando Tiana alla fine rompe il talismano di Facilier, compaiono tutti gli spiriti e le maschere tribali per portare il malvagio uomo nel loro regno. In particolare 3 maschere si avvicinano verso lo spettatore (parlando di punti di vista) con un sorrisetto perverso. Analoga cosa avviene nel Re Leone quando le tre iene Shenzi, Banzai e Ed intrappolano Simba e Nala nel cimitero degli elefanti.
•La lucciola Ray diventa una stella dopo il suo funerale: si avvalora così la teoria di Timon nel film Il Re Leone, la quale si basa sul fatto che le stelle siano lucciole.
•Dopo il funerale di Ray, i personaggi guardano il cielo e vedono una Stella nuova vicino a quella della Sera, capendo che è proprio la defunta lucciola. Le due stelle ricordano molto la direzione per l'Isola che non c'é nel classico Peter Pan.
Curiosità
•Nel doppiaggio originale l'alligatore Louis parla un dialetto louisiano, misto tra inglese e francese, al contrario del doppiaggio italiano, dove Louis è doppiato in maniera normale.
•Più volte Facilier chiama Naveen "principe ranocchio", ricordando così il nome dell'opera da cui è stato tratto il film.
